Capacity figures are distributed capacity, which is GVWR less the trailer’s own weight, so it is what remains for the load. Each model is checked against every deck configuration it is offered in, and longer decks carry their own ratings, so a machine can clear one configuration and miss another. A recommendation keeps the load at or under 90% of the selected configuration’s rating; a pairing that exceeds that shows as compatible rather than recommended, and the next size up is recommended in its place. A faded check indicates a trailer that will carry the machine but provides more capacity or deck than the load requires.

Estimates only. Please read

This tool produces non-binding estimates for general planning purposes. It is not a load plan, an engineering analysis, a certification of compliance, or a substitute for professional judgment, and no result shown here should be treated as an approval to haul any particular load.

Estimates are derived from published manufacturer specifications for base-configuration machines and from published TrailMax capacity and deck ratings current as of catalog v26.4. Manufacturers revise specifications without notice, and published figures may not correspond to any individual unit.

Actual equipment weight and dimensions vary with attachments, buckets, blades, booms, thumbs, counterweights, tracks and tires, cab and canopy configuration, fuel and other fluids, ballast, and factory- or dealer-installed options. Any of these can move a machine from one recommendation to another.

Trailer capacity is not the only governing limit. Safe and lawful transport also depends on load placement and distribution, tongue or pin weight, individual axle and tire loading, deck width and overhang, the tow vehicle’s ratings, hitch and coupler ratings, gross combination weight rating, braking capacity, and route and weather conditions. This tool evaluates a single machine in isolation; hauling more than one machine, or adding attachments, tooling, or other cargo, changes every figure shown.

The operator is solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local requirements, including weight and dimension limits, permitting, licensing, lighting, and cargo securement regulations. Nothing presented here authorizes operation at or near any published maximum rating.

Before purchasing or towing, confirm actual equipment weights and dimensions with the equipment manufacturer or an authorized dealer, verify trailer specifications with TrailMax or an authorized TrailMax dealer, and weigh the loaded combination on a certified scale.
